Abstract: Graft copolymerization of styrene with copolymer of ethylene oxide and allyl glycidyl ether was studied. The graft efficiency can reach about 50%.The crude products were purified with extractions and characterized with IRand 1H NMR.The complexes of the graft copolymers with LiClO4 exhibit a conductivity approaching 10-4 S/cm at 25℃ The graft copolymers possess good emulsifying property and phase transfer catalytic property in Williamson reaction.

Key words: Graft copolymer, Amphiphilic copolymer, Solid polymer electrolyte, Phase transfer catalyst, Polyoxyethylene
