A Study on Ternary System of LaCl3-Am(Am=Gly, Glu, Ser)-H2O(25℃)

Abstract: Three systems of LaCl3-Am-H2O(Am=Gly, Glu, Ser) were strudied. Solubilities and refraction indices of saturated solutions of these systems were measured at 25±0. 05℃ and corresponding equilibrium diagrams were constructed. In these systems there are 4 ternary complexes-La(Gly)Cl3·2H2O(A1), La(Gly)3Cl3 · 3H2O(A2), La2(Glu)3Cl6 · 8H2O(C), La(Ser)Cl3 · 3H2O (E). The complexes are not yet found in literatures except(A2), and they were characterized by molar conductivity, IR spectra, X-ray diffraction, Thermogravimetric and differential analysis.
