Abstract: Aluminophosphate-based molecular sieves of VPI-5 and MCM-9 were synthesized by hy-drothermal crystallization by using n- dipropylamine as a structure directing agent. The molecular sievies with large pores contain rings of 18 T-atoms. The synthesis conditions and crystallization were investigated. The structures and properties of the molecular sieves were studied by means of XRD, IRand TG-DTAtechniques. The results show that the VPI-5 is of a pure phase, whereas the MCM-9 is a mixture of VPI-5 and A1PO4-11.
