Abstract: A new flavonoid named lagotiside (2) was isolated from Lagotis brachystachya Maxim. The structure of lagotiside C23H24O12, m.p. 235℃, was elucidated as (3,5-dihydroxy-3',5'-dimethoxyflavone-7-O-glucoside) by spectral analysis and chemical methods. 3, 5, 7-trihydroxy-3', 5'-dimethoxyflavone, Chrysoeriol, 3-phenyl-2-propenoic acid, n-tetracosanic acid, BBBB-sitosterol, D-galactose were isolated and identified also.

Key words: Tibetan herbs, Lagotis brachystachya Maxim, Flavonoid, Lagotiside, Cbrysoeriol
