investigation on the Self-Catalytic Reaction During the Series Electrochemical Oxidation of Bilirubin

Abstract: In DMFsolvent, the series electrooxidation of bilirubin were investigated using cyclic voltammetry, the experimental results shown that a catalytic reaction existed in these processes.The second oxidation step of bilirubin(the process of biliverdin→bile purpurin)was greatly promoted by this catalytic reaction.The mechanism of the catalysis was also proposed.
