室温下甲苯中C606-和C706-的电化学检测

Electrochemical Detection of C606- and C706- in Toluene at Room Temperature

摘要: 采用铂微电极观察到了室温下(25±1) ℃甲苯单一溶剂中C60和C70的六步单电子电化学还原过程. 在甲苯中采用一般的有机相支持电解质溶解度差, 电势窗口也不宽. 实验结果表明, 离子液体[Tetrahexylammonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide, THA-Tf2N]在甲苯中具有良好的溶解度, 因而可以作为这种非极性溶剂的理想支持电解质, 并且该体系可以提供宽达–3.7 V(相对于二茂铁电对, Fe+/Fe)的电化学还原窗口, 这是在室温下实现C606-和C706-的电化学检测的主要原因.

Abstract: The complete set of six one-electron reductions of C60 and C70 was observed for the first time in a single organic solvent, toluene, at room temperatures (25±1) ℃ by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry on a Pt disk ultramicroelectrode(UME). A type of room-temperature ionic liquid(RTIL), tetrahexylammonium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide(THA-Tf2N), was found to have an excellent solubility in toluene, and was employed as the supporting electrolyte to increase the conductivity of toluene. This electrochemical system presents a wide potential window down to -3.7 V vs. ferrocenium/ferrocene(Fe+/Fe), which essentially allows electrochemical detection of C606-and C706-at room temperature. We also discussed the reasons why does this RTIL dissolve well in toluene, and the future applications of such system.
