Abstract: 6-Azido-6-deoxy-curdlan(ADC) was synthesized by a direct regioselective reaction of curdlan with triphenylphosphine, carbon tetrabromide and sodium azide(NaN3) in DMFat room temperature. The structure of ADCwas determined by 13C NMR, IRand elemental analysis.
