一类活性极高的高分子表面活性剂

Abstract: Polymeric surfactants are the kind of polymers with the average molecular weight 103~105 as well as the kind of surface active substances which can decrease obviously the surface tension on the air-water surface. It was found that end-capped polyethylene oxides(PEO) were very active polymeric surfactants, where one or two terminal groups of PEOwere replaced with perfluoroalkyl group (perfluorodecanoyl). Their number-averaged molecular weights were in the range of 3000~16000 When concentration of aqueous solutions for these perfluoroalkyl end-capped PEOwas in the range of 0.4%~1% (percentage by weight),the surface tension of their aqueous solutions decreases as low as 15 mN·m-1 which is the best value of the surface activity for polymeric surfactants up to now. The molecular picture for the adsorption of perfluoroalkyl end-capped PEOwas presented briefly.
