Abstract: A newly synthesized Schiff base type of macrocyclic ligand and its transition metal [Co(Ⅱ),Cu(Ⅱ),Zn(Ⅱ),Cd(Ⅱ)] complexes were investigated by elemental analysis, molar conductance, IR, MS, 1H NMRetc.The results indicate that the planar configuration of free ligand changes with the formation of the complexes.
