Abstract: In Methanol-Britton Robinson buffer solution, 3, 4-dihydro-2-hydroxyquinoxaline showed a definite anodic peak at +0.48 V (vs Ag-AgCl electrode) when a glassy carbon electrode was used as the work electrode.The linear relationship between the peak height and the concentration of 3,4-dihy-dro-2-hydroxyquinoxaline was obtained over the range of 2.8×10-6~8.0×10-5 mol/L.The peak potential decreased with decreasing the acidity of the solution.It is proved that the electrode reaction is irreversible.This paper also reports the determination of 3,4-dihydro-2-hydroxyquinoxaline in the intermediate product 2-hydroxyquinoxaline.
