    The Tri- and Tctracobalt Cluster compounds Co3(CO)9,(μ3-PR) and Co4(μ-CO)2(CO)84-PR)2(R = NEt2,OBu-n, NMc2) have been prepared simultaneously from the same initial material RPCl2 and Co2(CO)8. The trigonal pyramidal structure for the molecule-frameworks Co5Pof Co3(CO)53-PR)and octahedral structure for the molecul-frameworks Co4P2 of Co4(μ-CO)2(CO)84PR)2 have been deduced from their IR, 1HNMRspcctroscopic data and clement-analysis.The hcteronuclcar cluster compounds Co2Fc(CO)93-PR)(R = NEt2, Ph) have been synthesized via a metal-exchange reaction from Co5(CO)93-PR) and Na2[Fe (C0)4]. The molecule-frameworks Co2FePof Co2Fe(CO)93-PR) also arc trigonal pyramidal structure.

    In contrast with the results previously reported, we have found that Silicalite-2 can be prepared when in the presence of certain amount of alkali metal cations (as chlorides)from NH4OH-TBAOHsystem. Further, our work demonstrated the essential role played by various alkali metal cations during the crystallization of the Silicalite-2 in crystal transformation, the composition per unit cell, the particle size and morphology of the crystallites.

    The methods of X-ray diffraction, infrared spectrum and temperature-programmed desorption were used to investigate the properties of the zeolite HZSM-5, which was treated with super-heated steam. The effects of treatment temperature, time and content of water on the acidities of the samples were discussed emphatically.

    Asingle crystal of CeSbOS2 was prepared by the evacuated silica-tube method at 900-1000℃ and its crystal data were determined. CcSbOS2 is a blackish-red plate crystal with orthorhombic; space group: P212121; lattice parameters. a=14.43(9), b=15.09(2), c = 8.62(1)Å. The crystal is stable in air at room temperature and dissolved in diluted HNO3 solution.

    The color reaction of trichloroarscnazo (TCA) (2-(2-arsonophcnylazo)-7-(2, 4,6-trichlorophcnylazo)-1,8-dihydroxy-3,6-disulfonaphthalcne) with rare earth has been studied in this paper.TCAwas found to have high sensitivity to Cerium group rare earth ε = 1.079-1.308×105 and to the amount of rare earths ε = 0.937-1.329×105), big comparison degree (Δλ = 93-104nm), and good selectivity. Large amounts of Ca (10mg), Mg(8mg), Al (60mg) do not interfere with the determination. It is one of the best selective reagents for rare earths up to now.

    Under specified conditions, the cross-linked copolymcr beads of styrene-divinyl-bcnzene were pyrolyzed into carbonaceous adsorbent which may be used as stationary phase in gas solid chromatography. The chromatographic separation efficiency of some spherical carbonaceous adsorbents for various gases were studied. It has been proved that the separation power for inert gases, permanent gases and C1-C3 light hydrocarbons is excellent.This kind of adsorbent is similar to carbon molecular sieves (CMS) in separating property, but it shows some good advantage over them.

    The role of lattice oxygen in catalytic dehydrogcnation of ethylbenzene over industrial iron-oxide-based catalysts, 11# (Cr-consaining) and 210#(Cr-free), has been investigated by means of the following experiments: (1) Determination of amounts of H2Oproduced due to removal of lattice oxygen by reaction with ethyl-benzene used as the feed without addition of steam, and observation of gradual decay of catalytic activities, and changes in the X-ray powder-diffraction patterns of the used catalysts; (2) with elhylbcnzcne plus D2Oas the feed, determination of the change in D2/H2 ratio in the exit gas for very high and very low space velocities; and (3) vvith ethylbenzene plus D218Oas the feed, observation of isotopic exchange of lattice 16Owith steam 18Ofrom the red shifts in the IRspectra of the used catalyst. The results indicate that direct heterolytic dehydrogenalion of ethylbenzene appcared to be the major rcction pathway, but a minor reaction pathway of cthyl-benzcne dehydiogenation by oxygen-transfer mechanism also appeared to make an appreciable contribution (about 20%) to the overall conversion. Mechanisms of these two reaction pathways are discussed. For the oxygen-transfer dehydrogenation mechanism, the importance of electron transport between neighboring active-sites operating cooperatively in opposite phases of their redox cycles is pointed out.

    The texture of zinc electrodeposils prepared under controlled polarized potential and current density was studied by means of X-ray diffraction. It was observed that the crystal orientation of zinc ekectrodeposits strongly depends upon the polarized potential and duration of electrodeposition. The obtained results were discussed on the basis of geometrical selection theory and outward mode of growth, and also with the crystallographic and electrochemical factors.

    Amethod for determinating the spin-internal rotation relaxation rate of methyl by ortho-subslituting and meta-substituting the sample ( toluene ) is suggested. Spin-lattice relaxation times ( T1 ) and nuclear Overhauser effect ( NOE ) of 13Cin the methyl of ο-xylene and m-xylene between 28℃ and 90℃ are measured. The spin-whole rotation relaxation rate and spin-internal rotation relaxation rate of 15Cin the methyl of m-xylene are separated, with the internal rotation rate of the methyl calculated.

    The chlorine and oxygen content in anode gas has been determined by gsa absorption method. The result shows that the oxygen evolution rale changes with pHs (the pHvalue of anode chamber electrolyte): when pHs<2, the rale of oxygen evolution increascs rapidly with increasing pHs; between 2-4.2, the rate of it changed slowly, and, when pHs>4.2 it increases again quite rapidly. The rule stated above are independent of the density of current and the constitution of the oxide film of the electrodes within the current density range 150-550mA/cm2.

    The polymerization processes of bis[4-(4-ethynylphenoxy)phenyl] sulfone and its polymer's dynamic mechanical properties were investigated by torsional braid ana-lysis(TBA) and infrared spectroscopy. Results showed that the multiple transitions including the melting, low-and high-temperature reaction of oligomer, glass transition and decomposition reaction of its polymer could be characterized in the TBAspectra. The glass transition temperatures of its polymers depend upon the conditions of polymerization.

    In this paper, first of all, the conductivity of sodium polymethacrylate of different molecular weight has been investigated at different temperatures. Secondly, the conductivity of lithium, sodium and potassium polymethacrylate has been determined at different temperatures, and the effects of ionic radius on conductivity have been compared. Finally, the effects of side chain length of polyelectrolytes on the conductivity have been studied.Conductivity has been determined by means of direct current method. The complex relations between conductivity of polyelectrolyte and molecular weight are showed. Conductivity depends on the number of ion, which disassociate from the chain, and molecular weight. The results of experiment indicate that the relation between conductivity and ionic radius change as the shape of V. Among salts of lithium, sodium and potassium, the sodium is in the lowest. Linear lgo vs. 1/Tplots are obtained for polyelectrolytes.
