Synthesis and Structure or Organo-Phosphido-Bridged Tri-and Tetracobalt Carbonyl Cluster Co5(CO)33- PR), Co4(μ-CO)2(CO)85-PR)3(R = NEt3, OBu-n, NMe2) and Heteronuclear Cluster Compounds Co2Fe(CO)93-PR) (R = NEt2,Ph)

Abstract: The Tri- and Tctracobalt Cluster compounds Co3(CO)9,(μ3-PR) and Co4(μ-CO)2(CO)84-PR)2(R = NEt2,OBu-n, NMc2) have been prepared simultaneously from the same initial material RPCl2 and Co2(CO)8. The trigonal pyramidal structure for the molecule-frameworks Co5Pof Co3(CO)53-PR)and octahedral structure for the molecul-frameworks Co4P2 of Co4(μ-CO)2(CO)84PR)2 have been deduced from their IR, 1HNMRspcctroscopic data and clement-analysis.The hcteronuclcar cluster compounds Co2Fc(CO)93-PR)(R = NEt2, Ph) have been synthesized via a metal-exchange reaction from Co5(CO)93-PR) and Na2[Fe (C0)4]. The molecule-frameworks Co2FePof Co2Fe(CO)93-PR) also arc trigonal pyramidal structure.
