Abstract

Abstract: Aseries of compounds, with amine and alkynyl-oxygen alkyl groups in the molec-ular structure, were synthesized.Based on the synthesized compounds, a new corrosion in-hibitor IMC-80 was formulated and its per formance was investigated using weight loss andelectrochemical methods in brine saturated with CO₂ and hydrochloric acid solution.The re-sults show that the inhibitor has a higher inhibition effeciency in acid medium, oil well,sewage and water soluted a little H₂Sand CO₂. The inhibitor has been used to protect oilwell and its pipeline from corrosion, the inhibition effeciency is more than that of CI-203made in U.S.A.
