Studies on the Rare Earth Coordination Compounds (Ⅸ) ——Preparation and Characterization of Complexes of Rare Earths with BPMPPD

Abstract

Abstract: The present paper covers fifteen new solid complexes of rare earth synthsized by the reaction of rare earth nitrates and (NH₄)₂Ce(SO₄)₃ with BPMPPD in the aqueous solution of ethanol.The compounds with a general formula: RE₂(BPMPPD)₃·nH₂O(Re= La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Y.n = 3-7) ,Ce(BPMPPD)₂·6H₂O and (Y-Eu)₂·(BPMPPD)₃·8H₂O(Y:95%; Eu: 5%), were obtained and characterized by elemental analysts, chemical analysis, IR, DTA-TG, ¹H NMRand fluorescence.
