Abstract: A series of monodispersed silica spheres with the diameter from 35 to 750 nm was successfully synthesized by using the Stober method under different conditions, and the corresponding colloidal crystals were fabricated and investigated. UV-Vis reflectance spectra show that the wavelength of reflection spectra of the silica colloidal crystals accords well with those calculated from Bragg Law. The macroporous SiO2 and diazoresin(DR) were prepared respectively by using the polymeric and SiO2 monodispesed spheres as the template.
