Abstract: The physical state changes of phospholipid bilayers, when they interact with Saporin-S6 (SO-6), were studied by using external fluorescent probes. The protein causes the release of veslcle contents and the lipid bilayers were stirred.SO-6 can decrease the fluidity of phospholipid bilayers.According to these results, a primary mechanism of the interaction of Saporin-S6 and model membranes was provided.

Key words: Saporin-S6, Phospholipid bilayers, Interaction mechanism
