Abstract: Astepwise synthesis method was used to intercalate cobalt tetraphenylporphyrin into the layered phosphotoantimonic acid host material. The characterization of the purified sample layered phosphotoantimonic acid-intercalated cobalt porphyrin was made by the method of IR, powder XRD, UV-Vis and EPR.Layered phosphotoantimonic acid-intercalated cobalt porphyrin exhibits a fairly catalytic behaviour to hydroperoxide decotnposition, which indicates the intercalation of the porphyrin could result in the prevention of the formaaion of u-dimers and the increased catalytic capabilities.
