Studies on Ionic-exchange Behaviour of EMD and Selective Adsorption of Lithium Ions by EMD Ionic-sieve Method

Abstract: Fibrous electrolytic manganese dioxide(EMD) was prepared from manganous chloride solution by electrolyzing at 90~95℃with graphite anode, EMDhas the exchange properties with cations in aqueous chloride solutions,Alithium type ionic-sieve made from EMDsubstrate may be used for selective adsorption of trace lithium from sea water with an efficiency of about 90% yield.
