Abstract: The morphologies and structures of the blend membranes of regenerated silk fibroin and poly(vinyl alcohol) were investigated with scanning electron microscopy, and theirwater absorbility and mechanical properties were measured. The amperometric p-benzo-(quinon mediatingsensor for glucose based on glucose oxidase immobilized in the blend membrane of regenerated silk fibroin and poly(vinyl alcohol) possessed perfect stability and highsensitivity, and its linear range was from 10-5 to 10-2 mol/Lwith the response time less than 20 s.Moreover, its lifetime was over two months.

Key words: Regenerated silk fibroin.Poly(vinyl alcohol), Glucose oxidase, Glucose sensor
