Abstract: The inclusion complex of 2-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-5-diethylaminophenol with β-cyclodextrin cross-linking polymer could react with various metal ions to form adsorbing complexes. In this paper the related experiment conditions and adsorption mechanism of enriching trace copper and nickel have been investigated. The results showed that in pH 4~6 media the inclusion resin could enrich copper and nickel from dilute solutions. The multiple of enrichment were 50 and 200 for copper and nickel, respectively.
