Abstract: In the 0.4 mol/Lacetate buffer solution, at pH4.6, a sensitive adsorptive wave of heteronuclear complex of RE (Ⅲ)-Co(Ⅱ)-alizarin complexon(ALC)was obtained by single-sweep polarography with the exception of Sc, Lu, Yb and Tm, The peak height of derivative wave is proportional to CLa from 1. 0×10-8 to 2.0×10-6mol/L.By using of photometry and analysis of the complex precipitate, the composition of complex may be LaCo·(AtC)2(Ac)2 Cl2Na7·4H2O;On the mercury electrode, the adsorptive intensity can be arranged as : LaCo(ALC)2>La2(ALC)2>CoALC>ALC.The occupied area of each heteronuclear complex ion on the surface of electrode was detemnined as 1.2- 1.4 nm2 which is commensurate with one ALCion area, The possible constitution may be a sandwich structure.
