Abstract: In an acetate buffer solution,at pH 5.4,two sensitive adsorptive complex waves of Ge(Ⅳ)-rutin were obtained by using single-sweep polarography. They are stepewise reduction of Ge(Ⅳ) to Ge(Ⅱ) to Ge(0) in the complex,The detection limits of two waves are 8.0×10-8 mol/Land 4.0×10-8mol/L,respectively.The composition of the electroactive complex Ge(Ⅳ):Rt=1:3 was determined. The rate constants of surface electrode reaction(k)1=10.5s-1,(ks)2=1.9s-1 were determined. The proposed method was applied to the determination of germanium In organic gemanium tonic.
