Studies on Metal-Metal Bonded Organic Compounds——Synthesis of Bis[η5-Substituted Cyclopenta-dienyltricarbonylmolybdenum(tungsten)]Dimer

Abstract

Abstract: Through the reaction of Fe₂(SO₄)₃/HOAc aqueous solution with sodium or lithium η⁵-substituted cyclopentadienyltricarbonylmolybdenate (tungstate) salts (η⁵-RC₆H₄) (CO)₃MNa (Li),nine bis[η⁵-substituted cyclopentadienyltricarbonyimolybdenum (tungsten)] dimers [(η⁵-RC₅H₄ (CO)₃M]₂(M=Mo,R=C(O)Me,CO₂Me,CO₂Et,Me₃Si,n-Bu;M=W,R=C(O)Me,CO₂Me,CO₂Et,n-Bu) were prepared and their structures were characterized by C/H analysis,IR,¹H NMR and MS techniques.
