Abstract: 5-Hydro-1, 4,6,9-tetraoxa-5-phosphaspiro[4.4]nonane 2 was prepared by the reaction of 2-chloro-1,3,2-dioxaphospholane with glycol in good purity and yield.Compound 2 reacted with pentamethylsilylamine or trimethyl silyl chloride to give glycol disilyl ether, silyl phosphite and cyclic diphosphite.
