Investigation of the Intermediates During the Reduction Process of Oxygen on Au Electrode in Alkaline Solution

Abstract: Applying the ameliorated PSCC on RDE, the electric quantities needed for the soluble and adsorbed intermediates during the reduction process of oxygen on Au electrode in alkaline solution were measured, respectively. The results demonstrate that the quantity of adsorbed intermediate is dependent on the electrode potential. However, its molecular specificity is still required to be identified.
