Abstract: Fourteen new compounds with the general formula EtOP (O)(NHR')CH₂—CHRCO₂Me(R = H, CH₃; R'=H, i-C₃H₇, n-C₃H₇, n-C₄H₉, Ph,PhCH₂, p-BrC₆H₄, p -MeC₆H₄,o-MeC₆H₄, 3,4-Cl₂C₆H₃, PhNH,CH₂CH₂OGH₂—CH₂^*)haye been prepared by the reaction of methyl chlorophosphinoylpropanoate with various amines and identified by means of elemental analysis, lR and ¹H NMR.Results from the preliminary biological tests showed that some of the compounds have weak inhibitory effects to the growth of barnyard grass, but increased the weight of rape significantly.
