Active Surface Structure of AgMoO2PO4·MoO3 Catalyst for Selective Oxidation of Propane

Abstract: The active surface structure of AgMoO2PO4·MoO3 catalyst was investigated by in situ confocal microprobe Raman spectroscopy, evaluation of catalytic performance, XRDand XPStechniques. The results show that MoO3 and [Mo7O24 ] 6- may be reconstructed to [Mo6O19 ]2- under the reaction conditions. The structure change only occurred on the catalyst surface, and thus [Mo6O19 ]2- may be an active dynamic surface structure responsible for the better catalytic performance of selective oxidation of propane.
