8-Hydroxyquinoline was synthesized on polyacrylonitrile (PAN) hollow fiber membrane. The capacity of this modified PAN hollow fiber membrane is 71.55 μmol Cu(Ⅱ)g-1. Compared with the chelating capacity reported for silica-immobilized 8-hydroxyquinoline, this value is equivalent to Sturgeon's product's.
