摘要:

A new reagent 4-(H-acidazo)-l-phenyl-3-methylpyazolone(HPMP) has been synthesized and it color reaction with thorium(Ⅳ) was studied. In the presence of pH=4.6 HAc-NaAc buffer solution and CPB medium. HPMP can reacts with Th(Ⅳ) to form a 2:1 complex. The maximum absorption is at 555nm with molar absorptivity of 2.44×105L.mol-1.cm-1. This method can be applied to the determination of thorium in ores with satisfactory results.
