Quantitative Analysis of Prostaglandins in SD Rats by Capillary Zone Electrophoresis

Abstract: This paper reports an investigation of optimizing separation and detection foranimal prostaglanadins, i.e.prostaglandins E2 (PGE2) and thromboxane B2(TXB2), bycapillary zone electrophoresis with indirect UVdetection at 254 nm.It was found that the addinon of 3 mmol/Lphosphomolybdic acid in 5 mmol/Lchromate chromate can lower the detectionlimits.The linear ranges for TXB2 and PGE2 were the same, i.e.5-80 μg/mL, theanalytical precisions (n=8) were 1.2%-1.4% and 3.5% for the measurement of the migrationtimes and for the determination with peak height, respectively.This approach wasdemonstrated in the lung of SDmouse and the results obtained agreed with those from references.
