Abstract: Eight of trans-2-{4-[2-(4-R-Phenyl) ethenyl] phenyl} -5- (4-biphenyl) oxadiazoles (R=H, i-Pr, t-Bu, Ph, OMe, F, Cl, Br) were synthesized.Their UV, MS, FLspectra,fluorescence quantum yields and laser conversion efficiencies as well as fluorescence lifetime,laser turning range are given and discussed.
