Physico-Chemical Properties and Variation of Phase Regions of P204 Saponified by Alkaline Solutions

Abstract: The physico-chemical properities, such as conductivity, viscosity and index of refraction of saponified P204 have been investigated.It can be seen that the conductivity, viscosity increase and index of refraction dereases with the change of the alkaline content in the saponification process.The single clear phase is observed for each saponification process before the equivalent point.These results can be explained assuming that a microemulsion of saponification process is formed. The effects of the long-chain alcohol on the saponification process have also been studied.
