Studies on the Synthesis and Propertics of Solid State Photochromism from 2, 2-Diarylnaphthopyrans

Abstract

Abstract: The title compounds were first designed and synthesized, the structures of all the compounds have been confirmed by ¹H NMR, MSand elemental analysis. Combined with UV-Vis, the photochromism of these compounds was studied intensively. It was found that some of the 2, 2- diarylnaphthopyran compounds showed a good photochromism in the solid state, changing color quickly. Moreover, the relationship between the structure and photochromism properties was analyzed.
