Abstract: The objective of this study is to investigate the atomization mechanism of Sr(NO3)2 on the graphite surface by probe atomization combined with other instrumental methods. The atomization mechanism of Sr(NO3)2(s)was proposed,in which Sr(NO3)2 was decomposed into SrO(s)at first during heating then SrO(s)was converted into SrC2(s)and further into Sr(s).The atomization of strontium originates from vaporization of metal.
