Abstract: The fluorescence kinetic characteristics of binary complex,Ti-3,5-dibromosalicylfluorone,was studied with a fluorescence kinetic analyzer(using the fluorescence spectiophotometer(Model 930,China)equipped with a self-made flowthrough cell). The influence of flow rate and sampling time on the sensitivity and the precision of method were discussed,Asimple rapid and accurate method of analysis for the fluorescence kinetic determination of titanium was developed. The interference of many ions can be eliminated by the kinetic method and it is satisfactory to apply this method to the determination of titaniutn in rare earth samples and synthetic sample. The limit of detection is 8×10-3 ppm.
