Application of Chiral [2,2]Paracyclophane Monophosphines in Catalytic Asymmetric Hydrogenation of Dehydroamino Acid Derivatives

Abstract: Two chiral paracyclophane mono phosphites were synthesized and used with some other paracyclophane monophosphines as ligands in catalytic asymmetric hydrogenation of dehydroamino acid derivatives, giving products in moderate enantioselectivity. The role of planar chirality was demonstrated in the reactions.
