Fast Synthesis of Ultra-fine Zeolite 4A at Low Temperature by Ultrasonic Method

Abstract: Zeolite 4A was quickly synthesized by ultrasonic method at low temperature. The products were characterized by XRD, IR, SEM and DSC, respectively. The results show that the crystallization rate of the product synthesized by using ultrasonic method is 24 times faster than that of conventional method. The whiteness of the products is 95%, the calcium ions exchange capacity is 335 mg CaCO-3/g zeolite 4A and the average particle size is 280 nm. Compared with the product synthesized by using conventional method, the thermal stability of the products prepared by ultrasonic method is decreased.
