Abstract:

Organic solvents such as CCl4, CHCl3, 1,2-dichloroethane and benzene have been taking an important role in the fields of solvent extraction analysis up till now. Recently people have realized that the toxic organic solvents used not only are harmful to operators, but also bring pollution to environment. It is necessary to seek other organic solvents of no or lower toxicity to replace the toxic ones once used. We investigated a series of organic solvents for the extraction-analysis of trace copper, boron in steel and lead in environmental water.
