Abstract:

A novel method of immobilizing antibodies on piezoelectric crystal (P/Z) sensor was developed based on self-assembled monolayer (SAM) using alkanethiols for immunosensing. The assembly of SAMs on metal surface is relatively easy and they are closely packed, well ordered and stable in ambient conditions. Thus,SAMs are good candidates for immobilizing biomolecules onto ultrathin layers.
