Abstract:

Chromium is one of the essential trace elements to our body and present mainly in its trivalent form in body fluids. It is believed that chromium plays a key role in carbohydrate and lipoprotein metabolism and its variation is closely related with diabetes and arteriosclerosis. However, its existing state and relationship have not been thoroughly understood due to the trace amount of chromium in body and the absence of proper sample preparation method for speciation analysis.
