Abstract:

Any Chinese medicines, including herbals and compound formulea, are very complex multicomponent systems. With the help of the new methods recently developed in chemometrics and hyphenated instruments, such as HPLC-DAD,GC-MS, HPLC-MS, CE-DAD and GC-IR, the comprehensive chemical composition analysis of Chinese medicines becomes possible. The analysis of Cordyceps sinensis and Pueraria and Coptis pill has been conducted in our research group. Some interesting results have been obtained, which showed the promising perspective on this direction.
