Abstract:

Measurement of trace ammonia (or ammonium ion) is important for environmental monitoring. Hiroshi Mikasa et al and Satoshi Sasaki et al had reported the determination of trace ammonia by flow injection analysis based on the reaction of ammonia and o-phthaiadehyde in the presence of 2-mercaptoethanol. The reaction equation is as follows.
