Abstract: 3-Aroylethylsydnones and phenylhydrazine were heated in ethanol via an elimination, condensation, and cyclization to give 1-phenyl-3-arylpyrazolines. Their structures are confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, UV and 1H NMR analysis.
