Abstract: This paper reports an investigation of optimizing separation and detection foranimal prostaglanadins, i.e.prostaglandins E₂ (PGE₂) and thromboxane B₂(TXB₂), bycapillary zone electrophoresis with indirect UVdetection at 254 nm.It was found that the addinon of 3 mmol/Lphosphomolybdic acid in 5 mmol/Lchromate chromate can lower the detectionlimits.The linear ranges for TXB2 and PGE2 were the same, i.e.5-80 μg/mL, theanalytical precisions (n=8) were 1.2%-1.4% and 3.5% for the measurement of the migrationtimes and for the determination with peak height, respectively.This approach wasdemonstrated in the lung of SDmouse and the results obtained agreed with those from references.
