Abstract: The spectra and photophysics of 2-aryl-benzoxazole derivatives have been studied in this work.The obtained results indicate that the photophysical behavior of these compounds is different evidently from those of usual intramolecular conjugated charge transfer compounds and the cause of these differences are discussed and analyzed.In addition,the results also show that the higher fluorescence quantum yields of these compounds are concerned closely in the twist inhibition of the C＝N double bond in the molecules.
