Structure Studies on Metal-Serum Albumin(Ⅸ)──A Novel Hypochromic Effect in Ni(Ⅱ)-HSA and Ni(Ⅱ)-BSA

Abstract: The data of the ultra-violet spectra and the equilibrium dialysis prove that both 1:1 systems of Ni(Ⅱ)-HSAand Ni(Ⅱ)-BSAhave two strong coupling metal-centers with their LMCTbands showing a novel hypochromic effect.This effect is in consistent with the mechanism of dipole-dipole interaction between the electric dipole transition moments of chromophores.
