Abstract: The mass spectra of eight-coordinateacetylacetona zirconium(Ⅳ)were studied. The ion fragmentation pathways in the mass spectra are investigated on the fragment ions of acetylacetonatezirconium. Zrconium oxide [ZrO2H]+is the smallest metal-containing frag ment resulting from Zr(acac)4ion dissociation reaction. The molecular ion is obtained by regulating the degree of desolvation of sample molecules introduced into the ion source with the continuous flow probe and the analytes is the solution of Zr(acac)4in acetylacetone. The mass spectra of eight-coordinate trifluoro-acetylacetonatezirconium are reported in brief.
