Synthesis of Non-symmetric Octaalkoxy-Substituted Phthalocyaninato-polysiloxane and Its Monomolecular Films

Abstract: Poly[(2,3-dimethoxy-9, 10, 16, 17,23,24-hexaoctoxyphthalocyaninato)siloxane] was synthesized.UV-Vis spectra indicate that the strong cofacial interaction occurs between Pc units in the same main chain and the molecular aggregates of the polymer are formed in the LB film, The surface pressure-area isotherm shows the existence of the sharp phase transitions during the compression of the film. The polymer can be deposited on solid substrates to form LB films.
