Abstract

Abstract: The syntheses and characterizations of tetrahydrofurfurylcyclopentadienyl lanthanide chloride complexes are reported.The complexes(C₄H₇OCH₂C₅H₄)₂LnCl(Ln=Nd,Gd,Dy, Er) were characterized by elementary analyses, IR, MSand ¹H NMR.The crystal structure of(C₄H₇OCH₂C₅H₄)₂DyCl was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.The crystal belongs to an orthorhombic system with a space group P2₁2₁2₁,a=1.1809(3)nm,b=1.2149(4)nm,c=1.3377(5)nm,Z=4,D_c=1.72g/cm³,R=0.034,R_w=0.037.
