Abstract: The magnetic field effect on anodic processes and chlorine evolution efficiency in electrolysis of NaCl solution of different pHvalues was studied by the measurements of cyclic voltam-mograms (CV) and determination of chlorine evolution efficiency. This effect can be explained by the electrolyte agitation caused by the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) effect.

Key words: Magnetic field effect, MHD effect, Brine electrolysis
